I paid my last payment in January and have never missed a payment.

They were brillant to deal with and always helpfull once I made the last payment I did ask how long it would take to sort and was told 6 months.

However it is now 11 months and I don't think it is any closer to being closed thanks to Equity In Finance, I just seem to be going around in circles.

I am wondering if I can complain in anyway as I want to move on with my life now.

Well just to update this DFD are hopeless, near the end of February and still no closer to it being closed, they had the variation meeting all ok January 13 and was told that it would be closed soon, yet they have now emailed within the last hour and told that another meeting will take place in April and it will be 4 to 6 weeks after that.

So in real terms I could be looking at early June to close an IVA that I made the last payment on in January 2013.

Can I complain to anyone, as I seem to be getting nowhere now, spent 25 minutes on the phone this afternoon and did not even get through.

Why is there a need for two meetings?

Can I suggest that you contact Matt again and see if he can investigate this for you? DFD will have an internal complaints procedure, but if Matt has already been involved you may stand a better chance of getting this resolved sooner rather than later.

Further update, managed to get through on the phone last night and speak to someone, the email was sent in error, they waiting for the last few bits of paperwork and all being well it should be closed within the next month.

I thought there must have been some error WayneD. Glad to see that you have it sorted now, and are closer to that light at the end of the tunnel.

Excellent news, WayneD. It is a pity that the end game is so often such an uphill battle, but great to get there in the end.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
