Thanks Declan, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
It's been a long road getting from there to here but it's been worth it!

I wonder why those creditors could not have been chased at an earlier stage. It is very odd to see creditors outstanding at the end of an IVA, where presumably no monies hgave yet been repatriated to creditors. I suspect your IP may have been having some difficulty with the creditors concerned along the way.

I just phoned DFD closures again today, they now remember me as I call to check on things so often! Told me I'm now in the second stage of the closure and the final payments are about to be sent to my creditors. Then it will go to my IP wlto sign off who is on holiday until 22nd Aug. Said it will be very soon after he returns that I will receive my certificate. I'm very pleased to have this update, not long now!!

I call on a number which seems to go through to a switchboard at DFD and my call always gets routed really quickly and to the right people. I wonder if other people having difficulties getting through are calling on other numbers? I can pass the number I use if anyone needs it.

also whoever I'm speaking to in closures is very good. I'll have to try and get her name as she may be able to help other people having trouble with the closures process. I will be writing to DFD to praise her once I have my certificate, she has gone out of her way to help and provide reassurance.

Great news Matty and well done for persevering! I have been trying again today but have never actually got as far as speaking to an adviser as they only give you 5 minutes before telling you to e-mail or call another time and then your call is terminated. Have also emailed but if you do have an alternative number that you are able to pass on I would be grateful.

Have you tried emailing Declan? Good luck Dizzy - I can't imagine how frustrating this must be for you. X

Good idea to email Declan - his details are in the ask. a question link on the left hand side of the page.

I called on 0845 296 0220. They answer fairpoint group which is the parent company of DFD. I then ask for the closures team and get put through to someone in seconds. Never any hold music or queues on that number.

Hi BOL,

I have. Declan has been really helpful in providing feedback a couple of times on the closure issue but I didn't get a response to my last email as he was out of office first and I know from his recent posts that he is snowed under working on a project for DFD. For this reason I thought I would give him a break and try direct again. If I don't get a response to my email from customer care I will email him again. I have become resigned to a fairly long wait for completion but in the meantime just being kept in the loop on any progress helps.

Many thanks x

Dizzy,
Call the number I put on there, they seem to always transfer me to the same lady when I call and she is very helpful and really on top of things. I too thought I would give Declan a break. The very helpful lady who's name I usefully do not know was working a couple of hours ago when I called so unless she is on lunch you should get a very helpful service.
Good luck

I tried the regular DFD customer care number again this afternoon just to check the email address they are giving out is the same as the one I used and nearly fell off my seat when someone picked up almost straight away!

A really helpful lady called straight through to the closure team and came back with the following update. All claims are in except for 1 creditor and they have a deadline of Wed 16 August to make the claim, if they don't meet that date they will be excluded. I have been given an estimate of end of August or beginning of September for the certificate to be issued. So more optimistic now (cautiously!)

Thanks again for the number Matty, it could be very useful if I need to get through to them again.
