If there is little or no equity in the house why dont you both go BR!! You have made the effort to repay creditors to the best of your ability. Get the debt monkey off your back and enjoy life for a while while you are still fit and able. The debts really must play second fiddle to your health especially when serious illness strikes.

Fingers crossed your IP see's sense, but if theywont play ball then dont drag your heels over this.

Enjoy America,I trust it will be an open top car that has a horrendously low MPG figure but sounds like a lino roaring as your drive off into the sunset?!?

Paul.

I agree with Plasticdaft that it's definitely worth considering BR. Speak to your IP (not your case manager) and take their advice.

Have a fantastic time in the US x

Thank you all.

We are putting any decisions out of our mind and enjoying our holiday. No doubt it will be in the back of our mind though.

We have booked the biggest SUV and disgracefully gas guzzling car we can! Hope it roars like a lion.

Paul - you mean they drive on the wrong side of the road.......................

Jan

I would love to be able to hear your experiences of your husbands dementia - things to come for me. However this is not the right place to do so. If you would like to, ** bearing in mind that I will be away for the next two weeks.

Philip, I have removed your email address to prevent you being inundated with spam!

If you go to your profile and click on the Forum Members dropdown (towards the bottom on the right side of the page) you will then be able to scroll down the list of forum members and select anyone you want to add. When you've done this click on the 'Add Frugal Friend' button. If the other person also does this you will be able to contact each other.

Don't apologise! It's a shame we can't do that but sadly some people have nothing better to do than send spam emails x
