Daughter's been to WW tonight and said the leader Helen would welcome me back and the scales shut at 7:30pm so as long as I get there before all will be fine!

Daughter is surprisingly heavy and needs to lose a couple of stone, shocked me if I'm honest, but it's moral support for me, I told her we'd go swimming and make up a little exercise room in the spare bedroom and put the wii etc., in there so you never know I may do it!

Good luck everyone

My grandson age 2 (almost 3) is on a gluten free diet. He doesn't like the bread but has some cracker type crispbread which he will eat, since he's been on this diet, he's come on wonderfully and it's really helped him, still a skinny thing but I'm sure it's doing him good in lots of ways. It's hard for his Mum as other 3 children can eat it but sometimes he can't but he's happy not to most of the time as she tells him remember the tummy aches...bless him. x

I've been trying gluten free this week and to be honest it's not the best! If it stops me from falling asleep over my computer after lunch at work then I'll stick with it.

Must be difficult with kids though.

The pitta bread is supposed to be nice too.

Mrs Foggy is on a gluten free diet ( at the moment) as she feels less bloated. The bread can be a bit tasteless from the shop ( as well as expensive). Does he get any on prescription?

Anywway, Mrs F makes her own gluten free bread in the breadmaker .... tastes far better ( bit brioche - like) and seems to keep better. The gluten free fairy cakes she makes are nice enough for me to keep pinching them !!!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Julie he is confirmed coeliac he does get things on prescription but it took a long time to get a diagnosis and until diagnosis from dietician they couldn't get anything on prescription. The poor boy weighs no more than his little sister who is only just one. He's skin and bone but only been on 100% diet for 3 weeks as they had to introduce it slowly as sometimes they can tolerate some wheat/gluten, but he seems better on total gluten free for the time being. He looks healthier for sure, I noticed that on Saturday when I was around there.

I know I'm not coeliac and mine is just due to my op I think although it has taken time to come to the fore.

It is very expensive and not the best taste so I shall see how I go on it at the moment.

Hope your grandson can improve Lesley.

It does take a while to diagnose as most gps will say it IBS...after I have my bowel operation I will have to follow gluten free. Mrs F's cakes maybe [:D]

I really hope little one starts putting on weight Lesley , must have been a worry for you all.

Minor setback for me tonight.
2 pounds on.
Stone and a half will have to wait a while.
I knew those fish and chips plus 2 cans of strongbow was a step too far.
