Thanks I will try, I have a long way to go to get to goal weight (about 4 stone) but I've never felt more determined than I have the last few months, now to put it into practice. x

I have been here before!!! Had my stomach stapled about 16 years ago, unfortunately the band ate into my stomach lining and then the staples corroded and burst.. Not pleasant but was a good idea at the time. I put back on all the 11 st that I lost and then 5 years ago became very ill with a blocked artery to my bowel and lost it again within 2 years. I had to join WW as started to put weight on yet again after surgery[:I]When I had put on 3 stone joined WW and it took me a year to loose it as 1lb per week. Hope I have got the message now but nevr say never!!!!

I didn't have a band, I had the full gastric bypass with the stomach being sectioned off and a part of the intestine being bypassed. That was almost two years ago and I've lost 11 stones since then. I'm slimmer, fitter and more active than I've ever been. I know exactly what I can and can't eat (some things make me feel really ill). I have no intention of putting the weight back on, but do know how easy it is.

I hope you manage to keep it off.

Wow Kallis, well done for losing all of the weight. Was the gastric bypass worth it do you think? I know someone who had a band fitted and they have loads. xxx
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

I used to be on anotehr firum for weight loss and did really well on it. I may have to go back on there, as this weight gain during no fags, is mental.
Best Wishes,
Tina x

Flow - the full bypass was worth it. I'm used to just eating small portions now and know that I will never be able to eat a full meal again. It's worked for me.

Tina - hang in there. I know how tough it is to give up and put weight on. You look fab at the moment.
