as some of you no i have done a different post, but i was just wondering are there any really relly difficult creditors out there i do have a date for my meeting but all sorts is still rushing thru my head... (like every1 else i no).
From experience Barclaycard and Amex were troublesome; you will need to be firm with them (if you have these two) and the important thing is do not believe one word they say!
As elv5 says - ignore anything they say and don't be bullied by them. Your meeting date is set - keep that firmly in your mind and don't worry about anything else.

At the meeting there are a few really difficult creditors who I would not name on a public forum. However, if your IP has circulated the proposal it is unlikely that there is anything to worry about.
Barclaycard & MBNA get a fair bit of bad of press on here. And after my expierences with them then yes i would class them as awkward to deal with. However, in saying that, Barclaycard were one of my creditors and they voted to accept the proposal set by Cleardebt.
we're going through the process of getting an IVA with cleardebt and have written to creditors to this effect with token payments. Mint have been really helpful and acknowledged the letter and provided info they think cleardebt will need. Abbey have written to acknowledge letter but have sent their own paperwork as they think the are better placed to help us but MBNA have sent a request for payment and left a message on the voicemail where they are shouting - slowly - MR... XXX ... YOU ... MUST ... PHONE .... ME ... STRAIGHT .... AWAY ... with his details. Why does he think our brain cells are processing slowly and hearing is failing as we're proposing an IVA??
You have chosen a good company. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Yes, it really is amazing how some creditors are almost act as your friend and try and help you, where as others just seem to be very irrational and nasty. I made token payments to my creditors although you do not have to do it and it does not make any difference at your meeting.
Good Luck
Barclaycard were my worst nightmare - they never even bothered to vote for mine.

OH does owe BArclaycard, although (touch wood) they haven't even called once despite only being sent token payments and a letter informing them of intention to look at IVA! Hopefully cleardebt can sort us out before they start!![:D]

You need to differentiate between the debt collection arms of creditors and their voting trends at creditors meetings. As has been mentioned above barclaycard can be quite aggressive in their debt collection.
Michael Peoples was being diplomatic in his response but the creditors with 'less sympathetic acceptance criteria' I would say are Amex, Northen Rock and MBMA.
That said, even with all these creditors, you can get your IVA pushed through.
mbna were very very nice and polite when i spoke to them on the phone on tuesday. I had heard a lot of bad about them but only mbna and egg voted on my meeting.
Barclaycard did vote for at my meeting and in favour.
It was just there collection tactics. I think it was Mercers who acted on their behalf despite my regular calls i got letters saying a collector would call in the next 48hrs. Once did never appear... thankfully.
