I never thought we'd be able to have a brand new car whilst in my IVA, so I'm loving it.

I dont think I have enough years on my current allowance. My sons is up for renewal in two and a half years. Thats 20,000 miles per year, I only had 12.

When my motability car went in for repair they gave me a fiat punto to use, I loved it.

I am really please for you too, shame about the 3 month wait though. I bet you cant wait?? I am so excited for you, they gave me a bunch of flowers with mine.

That was nice of them Lily.

The salesman said today that they had had to put the mileage up.

We also have to have metallic paint as well - I always thought it was more expensive to have that, but apparantly motability want to make as much money as they can when you hand it back and metallic sells better.

You get the chance to buy it back too. (its cheaper if you get the mileaga up though, but not over the limit).

Depends how much they want for it. I'll still be in my IVA, so it will probably be a case of swapping it for another one as his DLA has been given to him indefinetly.

Well yes of course go for another after the term is up. I loved it when I had them, its total stress free driving, service, insurance and mot all in. As I said the only reason I gave mine up was the milage. Just to get to work was 250 miles per week then there was umpteen miles of traveling in the job.

Well we test drove both the Fiat Punto and the Mazda 3 today. Despite the Punto having more gadgets and gizmos as standard, the Mazda was a much better car. It drove better and was more comfortable and roomy, we can also have automatic at no extra cost which is what we both love.

Just got to get a few more forms sorted out now and hopefully we can have it in about 3 weeks time.

Can't wait!

Well, the colour I really, really want is Aurora blue, which is a very vibrant colour. Trouble is, unless any Mazda dealers in the country have the specific model it has to come from Japan and will be at least three months as it can't be ordered until the middle of next month.

My next choice is ice blue, which is a very pale colour, and we can have that the middle of next month. Waiting for Mazda to tell us which one it will be.
