Had the wound re-dressed at doctors surgery ...got lovely two inch cut under right jaw ... Stitches out on Friday ! Unfortunately swelling and soreness down to infection so now on antibiotics. Still can't eat solids, so liquid diet it has been now for third day running ! Hoping tomorrow will be a better day !

Amazes me how so many wounds end up infected. They may as well just assume infection post surgery and give antibiotics as a routine matter.

Hope your feeling better soon.

Thanks Paul .... Finally managed seven hours sleep without waking ! First time in weeks ! Think my body was simply on shut down mode last night as didn't have the strength to even make a cup of tea !
Doing wonders for the diet !

Today's food intake has been a yogurt, a babybel cheese and a digestive biscuit dunked into my cup of tea ! Still excuse to have proper sugar in my tea and coffee rather than sweetener or none at all !
Not as sore today, but swelling still there - feeling a little more human too as broke the hospital rules of no hair washing and sorted my mop of hair out !
Onwards and upwards - gonna try some beans on toast for tea !
