I've been discharged last Nov 06 after 8 months of bankrupcy. Please advise which banks would provide me with a current acct. Barclays had only granted me a basic account. My situation has improved with a permanent/high salary job. Grateful for your help. Thanks, Claire

Claire,
Ive just gone BR and already have a current account - co-op, cheque book, debit card, full online banking, d/d , standing orders etc BUT
No overdraft facilities .
My OR is fully aware of it, the bank is aware of my status , I have no credit facilities & mustnt write bouncy cheques.
I did it all online and talked to their online people - found them to be really helpful.

Slainge

Early Discharge is not an illness !

Hi Claire

Would recommend the Co Op and they gave us a cash minder account with an Electron card.

I was then advised about a Cash Plus Master card which can be front loaded as well.

Worth looking at!
