At the beginning of November i was laid off resulting in our income been £950 down. I contacted DFD instantly and told them of the problem and that i was worried about our repayments which are £328 per month, at the time i was told not to worry and our account would be looked into and i would receive a call back the following Monday, the call didnt happen. I called again and was told the girl i had spoken to wasnt there and she would contact me when she was back in the office. Still no call. I wrote to DFD and sent a renew of our expenditure as some of our payments had changed to a couple of companies and our mortgage had gone down....still no reply by phone or in writing.
Until now when we get a call from the account management team telling us we were getting a breaching order, but also admitted our calls had been logged and we had notified them of our difficulties. I told them we had been told at the time that we could maybe take a payment holiday but were annoyed at the lack of response from them.
Our review was due in January and we still have not received paperwork regarding this.
How can a company put us in breach when we have done all we can, may I add we did make token payments while i was laid off and luckily have been reinstated at work and my pay has just resumed back to normal but we are still behind, the payments are high enough and i will not deny it will be really hard to pay extra over what we are already.
What can we do, i,ll admit we went into this IVA blindly and were not offered any other solutions to our debt, which we now realise there are other ways.
DFD have a very good representtive called Declan who occasionally posts on the forum. He is sure to pick up your post and ask you to contact him so that he can look into your complaint personally. This seems to me to be a relatively simple issue to resolve, but it is a shame that you have not received advice from your IP when you needed it most.
Hi Jill
Firstly, I would like to apologies for the lack of communication on our side and the stress and anxiety this caused. As Melanie mentioned, if you could possibly email me your details (my email address is found on my profile under the experts section) I will look into this personally and ensure this gets resolved as soon as possible.
Thank you Melanie for the reply, and also Declan i have privately emailed to the email address you have given i look forward to hearing back from you as soon as possible please i am so upset and stressed over this.
I got an email from Declan yesterday saying he has passed the info to a colleague who is dealing with the matter urgently. I was hoping to have an answerphone message when i got home today but there wasnt, maybe tommorrow. Everyday seems to last forever at the moment.
Arghhhhhhhhhhhh! its Saturday and still nothing, all i want is just one call. I know this sounds stupid but i dare,nt even call them in case i get told they no nothing about my case been looked at.
I would try and give them a ring. At least you should be able to get some idea of what is happening.

Declan is sure to be annoyed that his colleagues are letting down the very good work he does on this forum for his employer firm. Declan - please can you urge someone from DFD to call this lady please.
Thanks Kallis and Melanie....but cant explain in words why i,ve got this fear of calling now, think i,m going mad, I got paid yesterday so have paid first full month since i got laid off 3 months ago and paid extra £64 pounds out of food money, i just want them to know i,m not avoiding my debt, i dont want a breach of contract. It wasnt done on purpose.
We would not think that Jill, and neither will DFD.
Hopefully Declan will pick up on this again on Monday, and I will do my best to see that the post remains at the top of the pile so that he can see it.
