Hi Becky

You can only get out of an existing IVA if it is concluded or it fails and is then closed. If it fails, and your Supervisor chooses not to petition for your bankruptcy, then you can always put a DMP together.

Technically, there would be nothing to stop you proposing another IVA in the future, but you need to think about your credibility with the other creditors and whether your application would be taken seriously.

thanks Melanie just having a rough day. I'm 25 and in way over my head i've had no spare cash since well before my iva started in september 06 I stupidly agreed to an unrealistic iva because i was so desperate and it was made to sound like the best of my options my iva has now been moved. In the last week i have wrote to my new ip and called 5 times , she personally promised to call back yesterday then didnt. Ive just had a large bill and need to take a payment break rang this mornin and was told she was on another call but the person i spoke to said he was sittin right next to her and would pass on the message as soon as she got off the call. Well gave it 6 hours and rang her again she said she cannot review my payments as the file has still not arrived at her desk!! ( well why promise to call me back yesterday if she still hasnt got the file today?) asked about the message this mornin and she had no idea what i was talkin about?!! I was that frustrated I cried!

Hi
I really feel for you and wonder if IPs and insolvency companies actually realise the consequences of simply not returning calls.Afterall this is your life that is affected.
I would call your IP each day if you have to and try not to give up.You are trying to address your debt and deserve a better service.
We do hear of many instances on this forum, especially recently,of poor service from many IPs.It all boils down to communication and it doesn,t stop when the IVA is approved,it needs to run the full five year course.

I think your new ones are just very busy having taken over another companies IVA business.
Try to put it to the back of your mind until Monday and concentrate on your business and living your life
