Just about to send paper work back signed for a lump sum IVA, can I now cancel my direct debit for my DMP?

I guess you need to clear that with your DMP provider. Are you using the same firm for the IVA?

Keep up with your DMP payments until your IVA proposal is accepted.

Are Stepchange doing one of 'their' IVA's, or referring you to Grant Thornton?

Tip:

If the latter, I suggest you read around some of the issues around GT completing IVA's (or not as seems to be the case usually). Be prepared for them to investigate you for PPI refunds, and a 2-Year wait for your Certificate of completion.

Better option perhaps is to go to IVA.com, and pick out a well-reviewed IP to act for you and/or one of the IP's who post on this forum.

My opinions are just that: Based on my experience and being a self-employed IVA customer.

I was with StepChange for my DMP but I kept it running until the creditors had approved my IVA. However I didn't do the IVA with them so I don't think they were aware of it until I cancelled my DMP.
Wisdom comes from experience. Experience is often a result of lack of wisdom.

I would suggest that you maintain DMP payments until your IVA is ready to be presented.
