do charging orders get included on the iva ?

hi,
i am thinking of going down the road of an iva, but not sure what happens as we have a charging order on our property for one of our debts and a ccj, do they get included on the iva ?

Hi Dianne ... and welcome to the Forum.

I'm not an expert here but as far as I'm aware a charging order is considered as a secured debt and therefore cannot be included in an IVA.

Have you spoken to an IP yet? ... you could do a lot worse than to give Melanie Giles' team a call.

That's correct Debbie - charging orders are secured debts and will need to be serviced with the creditor directly throughout the IVA.
