I have a secured loan of £36000 and unsecured debts of £15000 and my wife has unsecured debts of £20000...is it possible for a joint IVA ? Also am I able to keep my bank account or do I have to have something else ? Also do I have to go to court at all to get an IVA ? and do I have to make any payment s to solicitors, which I obviously cant afford....?

Hi ma and welcome to the forum

Yes, I would suggest mutual and interlocking IVAs for each of you, which are often referred to as "joint".

You can only keep your bank account if it is in credit and is not with a bank to whom you owe any other money.

You will not need to go to Court or pay any solicitors costs. I suggest you contact an insolvency practitioner who can give your more definitive advice about your current situation. Is there any equity in your property?
