Hi,

Can you please tell me whether or not when calucting income for an IVA or BR- i would have to include my spouses income (if the debt is in my soul name, no joint application), if so would it then be taken into account also how much bills she aslo has to pay with that - i.e insurance, catoluges etc.

My wife also receives Disablity Living Allowance for our 2 yr old son - would this also be classed as income?!

Many Thanks

Hi jo03, I have an IVA, and my husband has no debts. When Payplan was calculating my i & e, they did want details of my husbands income, but only to make sure we were both contributing fairly towards the household
My husband has dissosociated his self from my debt, so it doesn't affect him.

Hi jo03,

debbiw is right when she says that all income needs to be included to confirm that each party is contributing fairly to household income and expenditure. The DLA should be included to ensure completeness.

Kind regards,
