Hi There,

I'm currently looking at starting an IVA.

This may seem like a random question, however do i have to tell them of a Monzo account I have? My mum sometimes puts money in here for me for food/clothes etc (it's classed as account however the card is a mastercard) it's not in debt however I'm not feeling comfortable declaring it in case they see that as added income which it's not it's never guaranteed.

Any help on this would be great.

Thanks
Pixie

The bottom line advice would be to be open and honest with your IP. Do you have a full account, or is it just a pre-paid debit card account ? Whether the IP would be interested depends on the frequency and amount of the gifts from mum. Could she not just give you some cash now and again, or go shopping with you and pick up the tab ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

run a credit report on yourself, if it shows up declare it, if not then up to you... (but I would)

as I have previously banged on about on here get a sainsburys bank savings acc, its a savings acc and you are allowed (and encouraged to get) them.. other folks can pay in at any check out and you can do save back so you can slide money away from your main bank acc and it shows as food on the I&E.
