my iva has been finished for 3 years, and it has also dropped off my credit report. do i need to declare it when making a mortgage application - or is there any company who will offer me a "normal" mortgage without taking the IVA into account?

Hi and welcome.

If the question is asked by the morgage company then yes, you do have to answer in the affirmative.

You can try a whole of market broker for a mortgage. Ryan, who posts on here, has been instrumental in getting mortgages for a few posters. The interest rate is higher to start off with but at least you can get on the housing ladder.

Get in touch with him, his details can be found on the left hand side of the page under the 'Ask a Question' link.
