Hi...can you tell me if I need to tell my employer I have an IVA? At some stage later on in my career I will need to be registered with the FSA so will an IVA be an issue. I work for an insurance brokers...Thank you.

Hi Aaron

So far as I am aware, you will need to declare the existence of an IVA to the FSA if you become an IFA. If you are just an employee of an IFA/insurance broker then this will not be necessary.

Check directly with the FSA on a no-names basis to be sure.
