I live solely on benfits and want to declare myself bankrupt. What will the court fee be as I do not have any spare money.

If you are on benefit you can claim exemption from the Court Fee, leaving only the Official Receivers deposit (£335 I think) to pay.

Your best bet is to contact your local Citizens Advice bureau who may be able to help you with the forms etc.

I agree with the above reply regarding contcting your local CAB - they will also be able to provide you with information regarding charitable trusts for example British Gas Trust that provide help in meeting the costs of Bankruptcy
