Can you elaborate a little more on what kind of fees you mean please Lisa? There are debt advice companies out there that DO charge up front fees before they even start working on your IVA case. There are also companies that do not charge any up front fees and I would advice you contact one of those in the first instance.

As far as I'm aware the Insolvency Practioner acting on your behalf will charge fees as an IVA is a very expensive process but the fees are actually taken out of the monthly payment you make. I believe they take out their fees first and then the money is passed onto the creditors?

Hi lisa

Princess is quite correct. The IP's fees are generally agreed by creditors and drawn down from the monies paid over by you. These days, we usually only get paid at the same time that distributions are made to creditors.
