I am currently considering an IVA, and have an income in the UK that could nearly all be used in the IVA, however as I retired a year ago my home is in Spain, where I have an existing mortgage, because of the depressed house prices here at the moment the equity in the property has all but dissappeared. with debt in the UK all unsecured at around 95K do you think I would have a chance at an IVA if I paid say 700 pounds a month. My income in spain fluctuates but is sufficient to get though and is not used in Spain

Hi rg and welcome to the forum

You definately have the basis of an IVA there, but will need to demonstrate British residency if you are able to propose one to creditors. Have you retained a UK address for mailing purposes, and are you still on the electoral register?
