I completed my iva last year and the iva and all defaults have now dropped off my credit report. I desperately need a new car and want to look at car finance, either leasing or personal contract hire with either Renault or Nissan. Does anyone have any experience of applying for car finance post iva and if this was accepted.
One of our posters has recently been able to source car finance after the IVA so I don't see any reason why you can't.

Hi Paula, I have just been accepted for finance on a new car. My CC was issued in July last year, I have a clear and above average score CR on all 3 agencies and managed to save a substantial deposit with the money I was no longer paying my IVA with. It was a horrible time waiting for the verdict from the car finance company, but I never got asked any probing questions or had to lie about. Good luck.

I finished June 2015 and got car finance in July 15 to replace my old car. used unbeatable car.com. Also just got a new car from Citroen for my daughter, so yes, car finance can be obtained.
No issues here either. Have used a leasing company called Connoiseur Cars abd they have sourced several vehicles for us since our iva ended.
Hubby also got car finance through Ford without an issue.
