I think a lot of credit card companies are based in Southend.

Onwards and upwards!!!

Will be a credit card provider. Southend-on-Sea is the processing centre for the 4 of the big 5 banks (LloydsTSB, HSBC, RBS (inlcuding Natwest and Mint)and Barclays)so any card you have with them will be from there.

Plus some other card companies use it.

Hope that helps.

I've got a message, the man says he is from Newport? Never heard of them. He asked me to call back, with my reference number, which I think is from Picture, I presume this Newport must be something to do with them, I don't knnow whether to return the call, I've had enough stress today and cannot cope with any more hassle!

Given how critical Picture are to what you want to do Jane might be worth a call ???? At least you will know where you stand with them ?

I sound a right scaredy cat, but he said to call before 8pm so I am waiting for hubby to come home, he's bin away all day and I just cannot do it on my own! He might speak to them, be a bit firmer than me, I think I might just cry, how pathetic does that sound??!!

jane i can understand what you are going through and you certainly are not a wimp or pathetic, the phone calls and letters do beat you down, i agree wait til your hubby gets home and at least you will have each other for moral support, don't be talked into anything and just say you will refer back to your ip, remember that person on the other end of the telephone is just that another person doing his / her chosen job, what can they do to you at the end of the day, try and rise above them and don't let them see they have got to you, be firm and polite if they become nasty just say i am now ending the phonecall and put the phone down,
i know it is easy for me to say but we have all been there and dread that call or letter, i hope things turn around for you soon and you start to feel better.
good luck with the call
kerri

Well, we rang them and all they wanted to know was "when were we going to make a payment?" They should already know about the IVA but when we mentioned it, the man said "yes, but an IVA is for unsecured debts and this is a secured debt so when will you be paying?"!!!! We said that really he should contact our IVA people, but he just said "I'll ring you back next week, when you've thought about it!"

I just hope I'm not at home when he rings then!!!!! They didn't mention anything about the lifting the second charge, which is what we are waiting to hear about! I suppose that is dealt with in a different department!

Hi jane

Not wishing to make fun of your situation which is obviously very seroius but when you and hubby phoned them were you videoing him while he chatted to the nice man at Picture like the couple do in that ridiculous tv advert.

Its all a bit different once they've got you signed up isn't it?

Regards
