I did mean to say that the son in law is partially sighted - not his guide dog!!

We are potty about our dogs - they are to us the children we never had - but like Lem have house rules about them not going upstairs. Bless them, they are so obedient that they will patiently sit at the bottom of the stairs if Mum and Dad are upstairs, until we venture down!

Elsewhere in the house, they have the complete run of everywhere, and I have had to invest in a variety of throws for my 3 piece suite, as they love their cuddles of an evening, sand are avid sports fans - have to be in our house! We are lucky to have quite a large garden, and my husband has retired, so they are out with him all day.

Great news to hear about the plans for the kennels Vinnie - your timeline is similar to mine, so perhaps we will have to start our own canine forum a little nearer the time. AND don't worry about posting herE about non-IVA related subjects - it is a pleasant distraction from the current moans and groans, and serves to remind us that we are all family people at the end of the day regardless of what we do from nine to five.

On another doggie subject, I have recently discovered doggie bubbles! Has anyone else used them - they are like the ones we used to have as kids, but in non-toxic doggie related flavours and you can use them inside and outside the house. My two go mad chasing them around, and it is good exercise to see them leaping around chasing them. My hubbie only has to whisper "bubbles" and they go mad for them! I will be bringing some to the FF Summer do Harpic, so clear your front room of ornaments well in advance!!

That could be interesting Mel!!! Topsy will certainly chase after them as will Jeni (the guide dog). Suzie will probably not bother and not sure about Lloyd!!

I'm rather hoping that the weather will be brilliant and that we'll be outside!!

Vinnie - we have a brilliant social side and it's good to chat about things other than debt.
