After filing for BR, does the OR or represntative ever enter the house to check what furniture etf you may have?

You hear about stories of people having lots of things taken, but I think this is maybe a stereo-typical view of what may have happenned in years gone by?

thanks as ever!

Hi Andy,
From what I understand, as long as you are up front an honest with your OR - telling him/her if you have anything of value that can be sold (antiques etc), there should be no reason for them to come to your home to "check up".

No, no-one will come to your home. The only way this would happen is if the OR thought you were hiding a few Picassos!

I know, I'm getting bored with the Rembrandts now, I think I need a change!

PS If the official receiver is reading, the above comment is a joke! I have no Rembrandts, Picassos, Constables or any other paintings of any value whatsoever!

Official Receiver's are no longer allowed to conduct home inspections without an order of the Court, which would only be applied for if they felt that you had something to hide.
