The IVA calculator tells me that I would need to pay £550 monthly, but my income and expenditure shows I only have £300 spare. Does this mean an IVA is not suitable.

It could well mean that perhaps a different debt solution is more suitable, however, I would not rule out an IVA just yet. Why not contact 2-3 companies and guage their opinion on this or post some more details on your circumstances so we can help.

Hi Imintrouble and Welcome to the Forum!

Could you please post more information so we can determin whether an IVA is the best solution for you.

How much is your estimated debt?
What is your disposable income(not including monthly payments)?
Who are your creditors?

Once we gain this information we can advise more clearly.

Best Regards. IVA Experts

Hi imintrouble,

Can you post more details about your situation? Maybe we can help you finding a solution or you can try to contact a few companies so they can advise you properly.

Regards,
Michelle P.

The first stage is to establish exactly what your disposable income is and then to take advice from an insolvency practitioner. If and IVA is not a solution for you, then there will be other options. I am assuming that you have approximately £100,000 in unsecured borrowings, is this correct?
