We have had an inch on sunday which melted mostly and another inch today but its gone really slushy as its not that cold tonight.

Should be fun taking Taz out tomorrow for walkies. Have to keep his wound clean and dry!!! May tie a scarf around his neck!!

Just looked up the price of some meds that Taz has been given, vets price for rilexine 600mg £1-40 per tablet(he's on 2 a day),pets meds website they are 78p each, almost halfprice!
Metacam 32ml bottle vets price £21-05,online pet place £12-99.

Oh and the vets prices have to get VAT added still!!!

They do have you over a barrel!! Glad the insurance is paying,I hope.

If anyone has a dog on long term meds please dont buy direct from the vet,you can save a fortune by just getting the vet to write out a prescription(a small fee involved),and order them online.

If anyone wants the name of company I have used in the past for my other dog let me know.

Paul

Update of pooch. Been for walkies in a very wet and muddy woods, seems fine and just ate his usual brekky and his 3 pills for the morning.

Just watching him like a hawk so he doesnt scratch at the stitches!!!
Luckily he follows me everywhere in the house anyways.

Seems better today, didnt mind the wind too much although his raincoat thing kept blowing up his back in the gusty conditions.

Paul this sounds bizarre but last year we sewed some little 'knacker straps' x 2 - one each side of our dogs coats at the back to put each back leg through (off old pairs of unworn cotton knickers found whilst clearing out my late mam's drawers - yes really). We have just bought one new dog coat and this actually has them on in exactly the same place! They work and the dogs don't seem to mind at all. Worth a go.

sounds similar to the wifes horses rugs. cross surcingles or something they are called. Though I much prefer knacker straps!!![:D]
