seems just a computer error, the lady claimed !account was set up Saturday by herself
did not show me though, as no daughter with me!!!!
but once welcome pack arrives it should be ok

Hopefully it is and computers these days do seem to make a lot of errors, I teach IT and it's mostly the nut between the keyboard and the chair rather than the computer who makes the errors! lol x

ok i'll extend my technical question to the social side, month back i followed a link that said after the 6th year your IVA doesn't show on your credit rating, so i thought with no debt except mortgage, house hold bills etc i would have a quite good credit rating, but it seems this may not be the case? after 6 years in the iva our car is beginning to flag, its in the garage at the mo, so our dream would be to invest £200pm on my works company lease hire scheme after the IVA finishes and get a brand new car, initially i thought this would be easy as iva of credit rating, but the more i ask the more unsure i am!!!!!

Hi Cockerhoop.
My understanding, and I may be wrong on this, but once the 6 years is up and your credit rating no longer bears the IVA, it will effectively be a clean slate meaning no credit history will show (with the exception of your Mortgage etc) as effectively you will not have acquired any unsecured debt in the last 6 years. What this means is that you will in a similar predicament to someone who has never taken out credit before and so lenders will be weary of lending. To combat this, you can always apply for a high interest rate credit card (eg Vanquis) to help rebuild your credit rating.
Hopefully some of the other experts will see this and correct this posting if its incorrect.
