Hi Lem - they won't want the expense of a second 400 mile round trip now they know you are almost in an iva. They'll want to hand your case back to the lender as much as you want it handed back!
Thanks guys, you really don't know how much support you give and how much it means.
Mel has emailed me back straight away bless her and reassured me also. I can't begin to imagine how much the fees are going to be added to my Egg debt from today's visit.
Good old Mel! Don't worry about any fees if they do try and charge them - it will all go into the IVA pot.

Don't let it ruin your weekend Lem, don't worry about what you've told them either, Mel is on the case and so glad you got a reassuring reply straight away to put your mind at rest. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
As others have said don't let it ruin the bank holiday ... Your creditors mtg is not too far off now and you will then be on the road to a debt free life. I am sure they will not return ... But if they do and ask questions about the house tell them nothing ... Tell them that you will only communicate in writing and therefore they will need to write which will take a few days and then you can delay the response even more and before you know it your IVA will have been approved !

That's one thing with Mel - she's on the ball straight away when her clients contact her unlike larger firms!

Just told hubby about Egg - expecting them to send someone round now!! Didn't know the Egg were part of Barclaycard now so they can visit about both me cards at the same time! I am away next week as Dad having a knee replaced and hubby said he would tell any callers he was the gardener! lol- don't think that's wise - going into an IVA but paying for a gardener - he does come up with some sweet comments sometimes!
Let your hubby say that! I'd love to take the 'p' out of these collectors! The debt collectors/call centres haven't a clue!
I can't see anyone coming though kazzafunk, if they do then just tease them a little.
Hope your dad does ok with his operation.

Hi Lem, just wanted to offer some support to you,i know this will have scared you,big hug. you did right to email Mel,glad she was able to respond so quickly.
you're almost there now sweetie, hang on in there. at this point any added charges will make no difference to your IVA.
Kazza, Lem had a little delay in processing her IVA because of her own personal circumstances (hope i'm not speaking of of turn Lem no upset intended)so, this might be why she's had a home visit, don't often see posts where someone actually calls so try not to be too scared.
enjoy the rest of the Easter weekend Lem, you're doing well, big hug x
Nothing stays the same...everything changes..hang on in there!
They are very few and far between. I can only think of three or four in the time I have been posting on here. They are usually quite polite though and do tend to go away when you tell them what is happening.
Remember that you don't have to pay them anything - they have no right to come into your house either.

hiya lem,
you must have been so distressed to have found callers had been around. just hoping you are ok now x
seems to be good advice from the others here, don't let them in and give them as little information as possible.
not long for your meeting now, good luck

IVA accepted 6th May 2011, Full and Final accepted 17th April 2012.
I'd never let anyone in like that anyway but debt collectors have no powers even if they do cross the threshold.
