It's a good scheme Jan but does have it's pitfalls, it's not a good idea if you are within a few years of retirement or you plan to have a baby as in the first case it can affect your pension and in the second you still have to meet the payments when you are on Mat leave!, fortunately I don't fall into either category so am ok, having said that, if I wasn't in an IVA, I definitely would have stuck with my old car and not paid out for a new one and kept it til it died

Our complaint is still ongoing - they have asked for cost of repair and apparently we will receive an outcome soon.

Update on complaint - we received a letter today, whilst they do not admit liability for any misunderstanding ( do they ever???), Moneybarn are refunding us the cost of the alternator as a goodwill gesture.

I guess that was the best outcome we could have hoped for and grateful for the refund.

I am pleased with the refund and will save it away, just in case anything else goes wrong with the car before end of lease.

A friend mentioned buying extended warranty, has anyone experience of this?

Hi back on track, I have a blog, but you'd have to track through the numerous posts [:D]

I will update my blog with the process of leasing the car etc., it was quite straightforward and a godsend at the time.
