thanks so much for the kind messages - I'm off for a celebratory drink - not champagne,that will be saved for 60 months time - house white'll do!!
The forum was such a great help in making me take the necessary steps to finally sorting out my finances - although I did'nt post I scrolled through reading people's stories for several months before taking the steps that led to today - when you get yourself into debt it's such a shaming thing,and you do feel as if you're the only person ever to be in that position,so being able to share experiences is amazing therapy - and even better it's free!

sleeplessnights - you are so right. This is my 2nd post on this forum, but I have read through many threads and it's such a relief to just know that my husband and I are not the only ones in this situation.
I sent off our paper work to Vincent Bond in the weekend, and we have to wait for the procedure to get started, but I am glad we've made the first step. I feel so much better and can sleep at night.

Have just had the call that my IVA has been accepted - I really can't emphasise enough how professional Cleardebt have been - in situations like this it's hard not to resort to cliches but the relief in being able to actually look forward is like a huge weight being taken away -
Will post a full review as soon as I stop shaking, but to anyone reading this forum whose deliberating as to who to contact do please give Cleardebt a call - I wish I'd done it months ago!
I can also recommend using Clearcash as your new account - the help and response I had from them was excellent -

congratulations to you and well done to cleardebt. It is also good to hear how usefull the clearcash account is from somebody that is using it. I have applied for one and can't wait to be up and running.
