Hi All,
It seems nothing in my garden is safe. Last night I checked the garden and the repairs the OH and I had done to the plastic greenhouse were destroyed again!! Apparently dogs are attracted to the smell of tomatoes??!!
We've now moved them to the small summer house to give the plants a chance to recover. As there were no tomatoes to be had my pansies and pots have all been dug up and multiple bulbs eaten!! Help!!
Dog training would be good, but doesn't that cost money??
Happy Eater everyone,
Chardonnay [;)]

I rather think that you will have to keep your eye on them when you are outside Chardonnay, and not let them out unsupervised.

Please be careful as some plants can kill your dogs if they eat them, and at the very least cost you a fortune at the vets.

Hi all

As a dog owner I wanted to add a comment? if thats ok? Only use a water pistol or clicker thing if your timing is spot on. That type of aversion therapy can sometimes do more harm than good, I dont use it as my timing is rubbish but usually a loud OY!!!! when I see them doing something they shouldnt be does the trick.

I think you will have to supervise them when they are outside.......

as for Harry! I had to laugh. My friend's cat watched my friend plant loads of primulas which flowered ........ and then very thoghtfully ate all the red ones.

We have never used it either, our dogs usually respond to being shouted at.

The little one hates it when his dad shouts at him! He is usually very contrite afterwards...........until the next time![:D]

And of course the important thing this weekend is not to let your dogs anywhere near Easter Eggs or chocolate!
