Usual domestic assets, or items of a personal nature, are usually excluded from IVA proposals, so if you are selling anything like this the proceeds ought to be exempt from the arrangement - of course materiality does come into play here, and I agree with David that some predetermined deminimis amounts ought to be agreed between yourself and your IP.
Personally, I turn a bit of a blind eye to this sort of thing as I realise that my clients have to live lives and that the occasional sale of a piece of unwanted clothing is a useful way of purchasing more! But I suspect this is more of a woman thing!
You are probably right Melanie! I've had a few bargains over the years from there (sadly not so many now - can't afford them!)

We have been selling loads of stuff on e-bay these last two months, mainly due to other members comments. I can honestly say, we have just about covered our christmas spending, so we are chuffed to bits.
As Melanie said, I have seen a lot of posts about using e-bay in an IVA, stating that as long as you are selling pre IVA stuff, you can do as you please.
Some of the stuff we have sold I would have considered junk, but as the saying goes, one mans rubbish and all that..... We have had some surprises along the way, enough to pay for a well deserved night out.
Obviously, the stuff we are selling will run out soon, but it has made a big impact on our budget. PayPal is a great way to buy and sell, if we buy anything it is totally funded from the profit. It also gives us the option to transfer a bit of cash if things are getting tight.
It also brings a bit of excitement into our lives when items are ending, and bidding frenzies start in the dizzy regions of £0.99 [;)]
Know what you mean BOT! I always try to watch at the end of my auctions to see if anyone is going to go silly with their bids! Only once has that happened. I put a Timberland Sweatshirt on, brand new, which cost me £20 new. Can't remember what my starting price was, but it went for £85!!!!!!!! I thought someone was taking the P, but no, it was paid for, sent by me and positive feedback received! There's nowt so queer as folk!
