Hi Skippy,

I do miss having the bells and whistles but my house phone died and it was nice to get £40 cash from nothing.

I am trying to build up a contingency fund so I'm trying new ways of making and saving money..... 3 year s too late [:I]

Something else to consider as well is Quidco - you can get some decent cashback via that.

I love a top of the range mobile as well and I won't get rid of my Sky package.

I shall be listing later on today.

zzalsnp - try doing online surveys, you can earn a fair bit in vouchers that way.

Hi Jan,

I registered for some surveys and completed a couple.

I need to register with Quidco, I've heard of it but I'm not sure what it's all about.

I can't get rid of SKY but we had every channel but watched very few. It bugs me that when my sky+ box packs up I've got no TV as my aerial is shot, despite having to pay £145.50 to the BBC.

We looked at getting rid of Sky but Freeview etc don't offer all the sports channels and they're the ones we mainly watch. We've just added the movies (Leslie Neilson tribute night tonight!) and it's actually made our bill slightly cheaper. It's only pennies, but I couldn't understand it.

We watch loads on Sky so I don't mind scrimping on other things to fund it. We rarely watch DVDs and we love the sports channels as well - not for football though!

We've got Sky for everything now.

You register with Quidco and then enter which ever site you want to use via them (Ebay, Amazon for example) and you earn cashback.

Success is not forthcoming at the moment.

I am still waiting for the buyer to pay! I have sent them a message asking if they have any problems. So watch this space!

If someone is late paying me I email them and ask them to pay, then I threaten to report them to Ebay. That generally works, but I have had to do it in the past.

Same here Skippy. I've had to open a dispute before now - it generally works!

The annoying thing as well is that as a seller you can't leave any negative feedback.

Hope you got your payment, Flow.

I started using eBay only last year when IVA was approved. The highest price I got was £22 for a box set of DVDs. Everything else has been mostly 99p for CDs, but they have all added up and I now have more than £100 in my account (£102.56 to be exact)

Need to get into the attic and see what else I can list.
regards
st75

Started lump sum IVA in Aug 2010 - received certificate of completion April 2011, thanks to Melanie & team

I love Ebay! Trouble is the money rarely stays in my account as I tend to spend it!

Morning!

I love ebay! I managed to list what I would call "clutter" on the free listing weekend & made 120!!!!
Part of that, was a snow board & carry case that needed some TLC,(we found it in my MIL loft before she moved) & that went for 50! The buyer is arranging their own courier to come for it, Hubby & I had fun packaging it yesterday!

The funds are going towards car repairs, so no treats for me :(
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X
