Hi Deborah

That's a very big question! It depends upon what profession you are in. Assuming that you are not precluded from doing an IVA, and some professions are, then I would not have thought there would be a problem.

Can you give us more details of the IVA - ie dividend return, amount owed to creditors, monthly payment amount, how much is owed to H M Revenue & Customs (and how old is that debt if any)

Hi

I am self employed as a sole trader so any business debts will have to be included. If you are a ltd company you can keep them separate.
THE ONLY WAY IS UP :-)

Correct. If you are a Sole Trader any unsecured debts that you accumulate through your business dealings will have to be included in your IVA. If you have a LTD Company then this is seen as a separate entity and thus any unsecured business debts are considered those of the LTD company and could be included in a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) if the company was in debt difficulty.
