As soon as you stop paying your monthly payments, they will start slapping charges on you until your DMP is set up and they have agreed to it.

Probably.

You are still in the stages of setting up the DMP from what I can remember, so until it's alll been sorted and the payments arranged, you will get the letters, charges and phone calls.

Not nice, but it will happen.

Once it is set up, then hopefully the letters will stop. They did for us, just used to get phone calls every six months or so to check if anything had changed. If we said no, then it just carried on.

LD,you will find that Egg like many other creditors, will phone you umpteen times a day,my advice is not to ignore the calls, answer and explain whats going on,they cannot force you to pay anything, just stick to your guns.

Good luck.

Egg used to contact me a few times before my IVA was accepted, via phone calls and secure messages thru the website.
I found that they were 'slow' on the updates and I was telling one person one thing over the phone and then getting asked the same question a week later thru their website.

You can't always be in to answer the calls can you?

In an earlier post you say

"they will sort the DMP out until i leave and able to set an iva up"

What is the reason you can't go straight for the IVA, if that is your ultimate aim?

This was answered on a much earlier thread Ian, LD went to Melanie for help (I believe) and due to personal circumstances is not viable just yet but may be so in the not too distant future.

I think I have this right, but apologies if I am slightly out.
