I currently have both my gas and electric with First Utility. Because I have both with them I get a discount. I choose to save te full discount till the end of the year instread of a monthly one. The problem I have is I am due a rebate now of £185 next month ( monthly bill £95.. Can i just keep the extra or do I declare it?
Do you have a windfall clause? Check your paperwork but you might be able to keep it. You could mention it to your ip to be on the safe side.

As Foggy says, the best thing to do would be to ask the utility company to credit your account so the money does not come to you directly and is there to compensate when you use more fuel or prices go up. If you receive the money as a cash lump sum payment them you will have to tell your IP and let them decide what to do with it.
