Just wondering has anyone swapped energy suppliers since being in an IVA? Just before I entered into mine I switched to Npower and to be fair, they've always been able to switch me to cheaper tariffs whenever my current one has run out. However the other day I was contacted by Switch Energy Helpline who claimed they could find me something cheaper so I decided to play along out of interest. They claimed that I could get a cheaper tariff with First Utility. I had an e mail from them today asking for a safety deposit for £360!!!! Is this the norm when in an IVA? I rang my current supplier and asked if they could put me onto a new fixed tariff which and they found me one which is £9 cheaper than I'm currently paying with them. Switch Energy Helpline indeed!!!!! Sorry for rant, just feel really cross about this

Yes I have with no problem and without having to pay a deposit either. Think you did the right thing sticking where you are.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I definitely wouldn't pay a deposit, that sounds very wrong to me! I think you've done the best thing staying where you are for the time being.
