Hi I made my last IVA payment on 1st March 2013 to Freeman Jones and have yet to recieve my Completion Certificate. I am waiting for Think to Claim to hear from two PPI Claims which were started at the end of last year. Is there anyway I can get my Certificate while waiting for the PPI closure. I thought after six years It would all be over sadly not.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, this is a hot topic on the forum the whole PPI and awaiting completion certificates. Most companies won't issue the certificate until the PPI is all claimed.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thanks Lesley
I just rang Freeman Jones and was told I could ring the companies involved in the PPI claim myself to chase it up. I have done this and got good news one of them has returned the case as no PPI involved and the other I am waiting for a call back.
Hopefully this will mean the end of the road and I can get my completion certificate.

Dear Rachael.rp
Big congratulations and well done for making your final payment.
I see you have just spoken to us and things seem to be progressing.
We do appreciate a key part of moving on from your IVA is the receipt of your Completion Certificate and you’re keen to receive this as soon as possible.
If I can help please drop me an email and I will see if I can hurry things along.
Thank you

Well done for finishing your IVA. Waiting for the certificate is torture and seems like it is a very long waitiny game. It will be worth it in the end...stay positive

Don't get too excited, Rachael, we finished last December (also with Freeman Jones) have been told we don't have a PPI claim, and that our cc would be with us in 3 to 4 weeks. Over 4 months later and a complaint on this forum (which Steve picked up) we are still waiting.

It's terrible especially when you have kept your plan up to date for the six years that is required. There must be something that can be done.

I contacted Steve Hewitt through this forum and he did speak to somebody and we had a little flutter of movement but it seems to all have stopped now. Will have to go back to nagging next week. You're right though, when you've spent years trying to manage (although I admit we got ourselves into the debt mess) on an iva and then to be kept waiting at the final hurdle is upsetting. I didn't think that I would be bothered about the cc. Finishing the monthly payments and knowing that apart from the mortgage we had no debts was the Holy Grail. But somehow it does matter to me that we haven't got our certificate. It's like we can't draw a line and move on.
