I'm in the process of cleaning up my credit files at the moment - my IVA is complete and the 6 year anniversary was on 30th January 2012.

I'm not wanting any credit but feel it is important to get it all cleared up for the future.

I'm keeping a close eye on it all as I am waiting for defaults to drop off. I checked my report earlier in the week and am not happy at all, here is the story...

I was in an IVA which commenced 30th January 2006. The IVA was completed on 28th October 2011 and marked as satisfied on my Equifax Credit report on 11th November 2011. The IVA was removed from my credit report in early January this year. I checked my credit report in early February and my IVA is back on my credit report in court data section and is showing as current AFTER it has previously been marked as satisfied and removed.

Anyone have any idea why this would happen? I have asked Equifax to remove it but I'm still waiting for a response.

I just feel it is one step forwards and 3 steps backwards with the credit reference agencies! [:(!]

This has happened with one of our other posters recently I think.

You need to send a copy of your completion letter to Equifax, tell them to remove the IVA within 28 days or you will take the matter further.

It just seems crazy that they would mark it as satisfied and then remove it only to put it back again as a current IVA!

Perhaps they've had some computer problems.

It's not good though.

That's weird whitegold, something similar happened to me. My IVA has never shown on Equifax buy it suudenly appeared on Friday, after 6½ years. As I'm still awaiting my completion certificate it is correct to be on there, but strange how things are suddenly appearing.

Have you checked that you have been removed from the Insolvency Register? The online search facility of the Insolvency Register has not worked for the last couple of days - could this be connected?

The exact same has happened to me. It has never been on my file and now over 8 months after completion, there it is as plain as day. Just e-mailed their ask a question section and I too am waiting a reply. Absolutely gutted, especially after it has taken all this time to get my husbands IVA removed off his experian credit report.

Definitely something strange going on here - I wonder if the Insolvency Service are to blame - can it just be coincidence that the online search of the Register is not working at the same time that entries are mysteriously appearing on Equifax?

KAYKAY - did your entry appear on 10 Feb as well?

Vince66, not sure when it appeared, actually think it was around the 8th or 9th. Not sure if the Insolvency Register has anything to do with it, as we were off the register by the end of August 2011. Of course they may have an old copy of the register, but why now? We got our completion certificates in August. This is really bizarre. Going to see what they say when they respond to my enquiry.

I came off the insolvency register 11th November 2011 which is when it was marked as satisfied on my credit report. In January it had been deleted and now it is back saying it is a current IVA. My IVA is well and truly complete, final report and completion certificate were issued 28th October 2011 and now the 6th year anniversary has passed.

I am rather annoyed I am paying Equifax each month for access to my report for them to have done this!

I'm wondering if the Insolvency Service managed to send incorrect information to the CRAs

Mine appeared on report on 9th Feb, i had been checking daily as was waiting for some defaults to be removed. The insolvency register was working, i checked it that morning and I wasn't on there.

God, if I'm back on the register I would be sooooo angry!

KayKay, I 'asked a question' on Thursday morning, I haven't had a response as yet.

Yeah maybe, that crossed my mind this morning when I saw it wasn't working. Up until Thursday morning, I wasn't on it.

There seems to be a issue with Equifax, there is also a post over on the IVA board on Money Saving Expert ( http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho ... ?t=3770831 ) about the same problems with delays of updating the files after the 6 year mark.

It's not good!

My husbands equifax file now has his completed IVA back on, showing as Active. I wonder as the Insolvency Register is down, if someone at Equifax has backed up their files with an old copy of the register causing these in-excusable mis-haps?
