Hi. My IVA started 22 February 2011 and finished January 2017. Completion certificate dated 20 April 2017. All defaults have dropped off my credit files and the IVA has dropped off all credit files except Equifax. They are refusing to remove it despite sending them a copy of the completion certificate as I am still on the insolvency register. Last week I have sent an error report using the tab at the bottom of the insolvency register. Getting rather frustrated with trying to resolve these two issues, any advice getting the IVA removed from Equifax report and insolvency register would be helpful. Thankyou

You should be coming off the Register any day now and they will then report to Equifax, who are technically acting correctly. Sone agencies are more helpful than others ---- although my defaults had dated spanning three months ( I was happy to leave them like that) Call Credit removed them all on the 6th anniversary of the IVA start date, whereas the others left them until the "correct" date had passed. In the grand scheme of things a few weeks here and there, although annoying, will soon pass.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Hi Michelle,

Equifax should remove it once they see the Completion Certificate - it shouldn't matter to them if you are on the Insolvency Register or not and I doubt they check it either - just make a complaint and they will remove it.

The Insolvency Register normally say 3 months from when the Certificate was received by them so it should be any day but keep contacting them as they can remove it straight away. Contact details;

Here you go both email and telephone.

Thankyou for the information Ryan. Equifax have been very unhelpful. Firstly they wouldn't remove IVA until it hit 6 year anniversary, I had to point out the 6 th anniversary had passed. Now they blame insolvency register. Very unhelpful compared to other agencies. Anyway I will email insolvency register with copy of certificate. Thankyou, just tired of counting days, it's been a long six and half years. Worse than counting sheep!

Well, I came off the insolvency register today. So pleased. Just need to see if Equifax will remove it off my credit report and if not I will log a complaint. Thankyou for their email address Ryan
