Hello we have been in the iva over 2 years now. We filled on ppi reclaim paperwork for equity in finance/payplan even though we didn't take out any ppi. The problem is we have sent the completed forms off at least 6 times now! Every few weeks we get a call to ask if we have returned them. This is getting ridiculous now and every time we have to tell them we sent them back. they are sending them to us again for the seventh time!

Has anyone else had trouble?

Hi In_deep. Really? Are they serious? You must be a better person than me - 7 times?? I'm with PP and I sent mine off last November, and have heard nothing. If I were you, I'd contact Equity in Finance directly to find out exactly what's going on/check their records to see if they do actually have them, as you might be getting 'automated calls' if you've not been properly logged on the system. If they insist they've not had them, the only other ways would be to sign, scan and email them back or via recorded delivery post. good luck. x
IVA journey started: 30th March 2009. Settled: 17th July 2012. Completion Certificate received: 13th March 2013. Breathe. x

Agree with the above, I had many problems with EiF with similar issues holding up the completion of my iva, I ended up scanning them and sending them via email to the person I was on the phone to so I had confirmation they had received them!

Don't let them fob you off, no doubt it's stalling tactics because they have taken on far to much work than they can cope with!

Imagine a carry on film.....in an office....led by Kenneth Williams.....dealing with ppi....the your halfway to understanding what goes on at EiF!!!

Hi in-deep, i agree with arty, you will have to constantly keep onto this totally inept company, like Arty i've had to virtually write or phone them every week after having been told in nov 2011 this wouldn't hold up the closure of my IVA, zoom onto the present day, guess what they lied!

Please do keep onto them, see if you can get a contact name and send he/she all your correspondence, that way at least it isn't sat on someone's desk gathering dust, whilst someone somewhere else is asking for the umteenth time for paperwork they have already received, communication isn't one of their strong points!
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

i never wanted to claim PPI as to my knowledge I didn't take any out but Payplan hassled me for weeks on end with the "your IVA won't be completed" line so I eventually sent off the forms under protest to these idiots at Equity, and although I'm not up to the level of having to do them 7 times I have just sent some forms back for the 5th time!
My IVA is nearing completion at last and they are stressing me out which is a shame as apart from one or two dark moments Payplan has been good.

Having the same problems with Equity in Finance. Sent my paperwork off to them in November 2011 and after a couple of letters back saying that they were looking into PPI on one of credit cards I thought it was done and dusted. In January 2013 I got a load of new forms from them saying that the original ones were no longer valid dues to new legality reasons and I had to fill in a whole new set! I have been on to them for 3 months to send me a prepaid envelope to send the forms back, as it was missing from my pack and they refuse to do so. I never asked to fill in these blasted forms or spend over £3 on postagee to send them back and whenever I call the staff on the end of the phone couldn't give a monkeys.

My husband is not in a IVA and decided to contact his banks about PPI after hearing about what I had to do. Took him just undet 6 weeks to write his own letter to them, get a response and to receive a PPI payment to close the whole claim.

I think the EIF are a bunch of muppets who are dragging this process out so unnecesrily.

Hi supergert, i have to agree with you, i too sent in my documents in Nov 11, unfortunately or fortunately for me i broke my arm last year so had plenty of time to chase this inept firm up, however had i not done so i think i too would've been having to resign everything. One of my claims i had to chase as they didn't do as they were asked and i nearly lost over £9000, now they are trying to deal with an off-set which quite frankly should've been dealt with last August when the Halifax did this, not after me having completed and also having to have a variation meeting, however i do believe that DFD have a lot to do with that.

If i knew back in November 2011 what i know now, i would say to my IP, i will claim this back that will ensure more returns for my IVA account and keep you in the loop at all times, claims firms no chance not now.

we've never had ppi either but payplan told us we still had to fill in the forms as it was procedure ! Ours were sent off in July 2012 and yesterday we got more forms from eqity in finance as they needed more information !! Its just a complete joke and a great waste of time and money !

My Iva completes, well i hope in July this year after six years i have refused to deal with EIF now because i was receiving calls every day even in work asking the same questions in relation to returned paperwork and ppi payments sent not to me but my IP direct by Barclays. I advised my IP who couldnt apologise enough when i pointed out that even my creditors six years ago gave me less grief than EIF. I just relay everything to my IP re any ppi and reject EIF calls.

Nice one Todd, if i could turn the clock back to Nov 11, not that i want to now, i would've said, nope i'm going to claim it back myself that way all the monies refunded can go into the IVA and not lose over £8000 in fees.

EIF are incompetent to put it mildly.. I have found out today that they can accept scanned documents in some cases so may be wise to ask if you can do that? We have had 2 lots of forms go missing and also 3 lots go missing from EIF to the company they are pursuing.. Its very frustrating

PPI PPI PPI PPI PPI PPI PPI PPI PPI PPI PPIiiiiiiii better if you sing it ala football song style

I sent mine in then got a call to send them again then in January got a call saying to send them again I got them and thought to ask I spoke with somebody they said no they had them already I said yes I have done this 3 times she said it was the delivery guys fault

I got a call on my phone I rang them up and was told that they needed me to sign them again last week ??? and they were in the post this was last week I told him I have done this however many times he says well we have to have them oh hum they never turned up

PPI is sold under lots of sneaky ways even if you didnt sign they have smuggled it on to your account or interest
Only the legal teams know what to look for us mere mortals dont

As far as I care which is not much I have done my IVA months ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I signed for 60 payments and all this ***** footing and messing about with peoples lives has to stop now !!!
I do not care about any legal fobbing off or they didnt know
This was well known 2 3 years ago
When you complete your 5 years thats it I do not care I want that paper certificate in my paws not more than 20 working days later after I pay my lasy payment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont care how lovely or wonderful the company is or the service or the speed in which they answer the phone I have done what I said and signed for

I wish somebody would go the legal way and sort this out for the people who have completed its not right We are being left in limbo and messed about yet it us who have done the IVA to the best of our ability and been stressed out and worried for 5 years and then when it should be done and dusted we can walk away we are then told no
you have to wait 4 to 6 months etc its nowt to do with us
We did not sign for that

Us lot have paid in the total amount New starters have not
but its the New starters getting the preference over us lot who have finished as we are not of any further use

They should not be allowed to take on any new customers when they have people who have completed being messed about
No offence to new starters :)

Personally I am done I dont care I paid what I said and they can take a 100 years it matters not 1 jot to me

just shabby treatment when you complete and nice as sugar pie with cherries on when they want you to sign up for 5 years I have had not 1 not 1 yes not 1 single phone call or email from my IVA company to say we are sorry for the delay and giving me an update
I have heard diddly squat !!!!!! but I am told when I finished to call them !!!!!!! every month no no no no no no I am not using my phone to waste my money and time to call you !!!!! You have had £20 000 plus out of me You !!!!!!!! call me !!!!!!!

:)
Just me on the side of the IVA Finsihed team :)
