Equity release details sent to original company. Will I have to chase this up with new company ?

Morning,I am at month 58 in my iva.At month 54 all paperwork for equity release(valuations and mortgage refusal)sent to IP.Company then transferred to new IVA Co.Will i have to chase up the account or do i wait until they contact me.

Hi Alfie -- I am afraid it is best if you chase them up, as inaction on the part of the IP will not be considered a defence if any terms of the IVA aren't carried through. At the end of the day the IVA is yours, not theirs.

The old IP ought to have transferred all files to the new IP as part of the handover process, but nothing to lose by checking and sending copies to the new IP if you retained any.
