Ian, our IP worked really hard on our behalf and Hubby told him that if we won the lottery we would gladly take him for a drink or two!

Thanks guys for all you kind messages. I have just got back from the vets with the dog and his got to have the tartar removed from his teeth. Asked them how much it's going to be in be informed that I was looking at around £80-£85. Wasn't planning for that one, but I suppose if you have a pet they need looking after. I do have insurance for him, but unfortunately it doesn't cover dential care unless his had an accident.

Oh no. Your poor dog. Poor you aswell. Chin up. Things at the beginning will be hard but hopefully you'll be better off in the long run. Big hug to you and your dog. What's his name? X

His name is Toby and he's a terrier x, his 9 years old, black (and grey showing his age) and his great company whilst hubby is away. When hubby comes home or we visit him at weekends Toby sulks when we are on our own. I've never known a dog sulk like his does. He is definately his dads dog, even though I'm the one with him most of the time, walking feeding etc. He enjoys going in the car and he loves the caravan. His a little gem. x

Ah he sounds lovely. You'll have to post on the pet's corner forum, there are lots of animal lovers on here. I'm a cat person really but dogs are so much fun. X

I guessed as much. Because of your picture. I used to have four cats. Smudge (black & White), Raz (ginger tom), Cindy (tortise shell) and Tyson(another ginger). I started off with Smudge & Raz, then along came Cindy and because I always wanted a ginger/white my mum brought me Tyson. I had the cats in my first marriage and when we broke up (nearly 20 years ago) my husband at the time wouldn't let me take the two older boys, but I did take the two younger ones. After about five years, my ex husband that was then decided he no longer wanted the two boys so I had them. Obviously they passed away and when we moved to Devon I still had Cindy and Tyson. Cindy was not a well cat when we moved and lasted just over a year - she was 17. Tyson passed way nearly two years ago and he was knocking on 18. It still miss not having a cat, but my lifestyle has changed because of going to Sx as often as I can and it wouldn't be fare leaving a cat at home and having a neighbour popping in the feed it.
How many cats do you have?
Oh dear, I'm rabbiting on, must be the wine - sorry.
