We've been going every year since 2003! I don't think they'd finished the park last year, so it'll be nice to see it in all it's glory. We're going for Lifeboat Week and Carnival Week this year, so there'll be a lot going on. I just love the views and everything about Lyme.

We decided to climb Golden Cap last year and after a lot of huffing and puffing and moaning from me we got to the top and realised we had climbed the wrong cliff!

I've told Dave that if we ever get married I want it to be in Lyme Regis - I'd love to have my wedding photos on the Cobb!

We love walking down on the Cobb too, especially with a bag of chips! Yummie. We tend to go down to Lyme more in the winter months, easier to park! My sister normally comes and stays with her two young children for a week during the summer and they ask to go down at Lyme for at least a day. My little nephew said that the pretty colour houses reminded him of a childrens programme, which I can't remember the name of, its something Balamory!

Roll on 25th July - I want my bag of chips on the Cobb! Last time we went for Carnival week they had a band playing in the gardens and we went to watch them and sat there eating chips - bliss!

We've been for a couple of New Years as well - the first time was brilliant and the second time I was really ill so I didn't appreciate it!

I was going through some old photo's belonging to my parents and came across one with my mother standing along the prom of Lyme - with Charmouth behind her. As soon as I saw the photo I knew where it had been taken. My parents went on a holiday around the West Country (before they were married) in 1959. When they came to visit us in 2003 we took them back to Lyme as they hadn't been there for so many years, only thing I wish I'd had on me at the time was a camera so that I could have taken another photo of them in the same spot. Hope you enjoy your chips on the Cobb! Only 10 weeks to go, which will fly by. x

My step daughter used to live near Poole, and we used to love going down for weekends. Visited Lyme Regis a few times as well and it is lovely.

Unfortunately said step daughter split up from her (now ex) hubbie four years ago so no more free holidays for me!!!!
