Heh this is going to be a bit against the grain, but who are any of us to judge Kerry (not a fan) !! but its sad that she has gone bankrupt...its all relative her earnings against debt..just like all of us who find ourselves in IVA's or BR.
We cannot judge and yes she was living like she own's Iceland ect but I got into a pickle living beyond my means...same thing ??? I think it is. So none of us wanted to be judged and have openly discussed the helpful IP and there compassion ect lets give her benefit of doubt...hopefully she will learn from this sad experience because it will effect her life and her little children.[:)]Sorry if this upsets anyone but just thought I'd tell you what I think !! xx

Well i used to feel a bit sorry for her.because you would see her on the likes of 'this morning' & various other talk shows & she would be talking about her bipolar disorder & how she was always 'wrongly' slated by the press, but then she went & did that awful tv show where she portrayed herself as a spoilt, foul mouthed, attention seeker.i sat open mouthed watching that show.and surely she must have seen what was coming re the br.in every episode she'd bought a new sports car or rolex for her hubby.madness!!x

Hi Kabby, no problem at all, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Trouble is, you hardly see them in the newspapers when all is swimming along nicely, but as soon as things start going pear shaped, they contact Hello or OK mag to pour it all out to earn loads of dosh! These celebs live very extravagant lifestyles, party hard and shop in designer shops. I didn't get into debt by doing any of these things, yet my name is posted in the insolvency register for all the leaches to see. I really don't have any sympathy for her, but perhaps someone should invite her to post on the forum, as she sure needs support right now [:0] Just my opinion.....Kazzy x

I am not judging her on her debts or how she got into them - as yes we all have done much the same thing and lived way beyond our means...but the reason I do not like her is her denial of drug taking, then bleating on about how hard doen by she has been - she sells her story to every willing paper/magazine...she then goes and does some trashy tv show...and then wonders why she is disliked so much.
Sometime these so called celebs (and I use that word loosely in her case) should take a step back and maybe then they would not act the way they do.
She will be back from this - that is the difference between her and people like us, that I doubt very much if being BR is such a big deal to her....as I said before there will be a mag round the corner waiting for her story fo her to make yet more bucks!
k.

I suppose we all have our different stories...I did live beyond my means after having a fab life with my now ex-husband, who left me with huge debts (I admit I did help him get some of those debts)so I hold my hands up and say yes I did live beyond my means....lovely cars, expensive clothes, luxury holidays and yes even cosmetic surgery!! these were all written in my IVA proposal. I regret this living and it's taken a huge financial adjustment, which I look at as a challenge and I am enjoying these believe it or not!! I have just made my 40th payment only 20 to go!! I've discover inner wealth which is gives me a much more content feeling inside!! I manage to keep my house and my car which is no where as flash, as previous cars in our heady credit days....but it earns me my living every week (now due its second MOT). I hope she does take chance to take stock of her life in a positive way...have to admit I steal my sisters Hello/OK magazines and enjoy reading her stories. I have gone past judging, I was glad I was not judged and given a chance to correct my foolish ways and put in place a plan to look after my son and myself.

Take care

Karen

PS hope I havent rambled on tooooo much or offended any xx[:o)]

[:)]karen,i am in no way offended by anything you said! i value everyone's opinion cause we're all entitled to one.i just wanted to use my opportunity to have a rant about that dreadful programme she made, where she apparently wanted to 'prove what a good person she really is' ?!?...i too have no right to judge, but i certainly didnt buy a new sports car every week like she did!!!...right,rant over now...xx[:D]

I wish we'd had a lavish lifestyle out of our debt. We had one holiday, no expensive cars, no expensive clothes and we bought a 2 up 2 down for 51k. The rest went on living and robbing peter to pay paul. God knows how it mounted up, maybe if id had a flash car, and 3 holidays a year and new clothes , surgery etc id have known what it went on!
IVA in 2007 - failed in 2008.

I've still got no sympathy for her - she has had ample opportunity to pay her debts, unlike the rest of us. I know it's all relative, but if I'd had the opportunity to earn (and I use the word loosely!) the sort of money she does I would have been more than happy to pay off my debts.

I would put money on my old friend Louise Brittain acting as her Trustee. Louise does a lot of celebrity bankruptcy cases, and is excellent at recovering assets for the benefit of creditors. Kerry may be in for a hard time if she does not play ball with her Trustee!
