I am in my 3rd yr of my iva and have only now realised how big an effect an iva has on your life. I really want to move home as I need more space for my children and I'm struggling to see how this is possible. I have a mortgage at the moment but have been reading how difficult it is to remortgage or apply for a new one. I have read about f & f settlements (as I have a fam member that might be able to help). I'm not sure how all this works, so any advice wood be appreciated. This IVA is now causing me a great deal of stress.

Hi, welcome to the forum.
The quickest way to get an idea of the size of a F&F offer is to take the monthly figure you pay into the IVA and multiply this by the amount of months left to go.
You may get away with paying slightly less, especially if the debts have been sold on.
Remember that the IVA stays on your credit file for 6 years from the date it started so this could / would affect any mortgage application..

Mortgages after an IVA are available. Best advice is to use a mortgage broker who has access to a range of products. Everyone has different circumstances so advice on deposit levels etc is difficult.
The forum has two mortgage experts, Ryan and Shaun. Their contact details are on the left under ask the experts a question section. I can personally vouch for Ryan and I know he has successfully helped a lot of forum members in the last two years.
