Hi All,

Was wondering if i could get some advice...i submitted a full and final early last month and thank god it was accepted and my IVA is all officially paid off! :) yayy

Can anyone shed any light on what the next steps are e.g. completion certificates - would this be now or in 2 years time when my original IVA would have been over....

Also - if its now...can i get the credit reference agencies to remove the IVA from my credit history now???

The after part is all so confusing...the other thing that i wanted to know was how to rebuild my credit back up...!

Your completion cert will follow in due course. The credit reference agencies will amend your records to show it is satisfied, but will not totally be removed from your file until the 6th anniversary of the start of your IVA.

You can start rebuilding your credit. If you've got a bank account, mobile phone contract etc they will all help. I've also got a credit card with Vanquis and a catalogue account with Next to help rebuild my credit score.

They can still show as defaulted but the date of the default must be no later than the date of your IVA. If any defaults are later than this you need to write to the data controller of each creditor and ask them to amend this.
