Hi
Has anyone tried a face to face meeting with their creditors to make an offer to pay a sum of money to write off their debts?
And if so what percentage did you pay?
Has anyone got any experience in this field?
Thanks.

Hi Alan

you have a few choices here.

Firstly you can look at a one payment IVA, where you request the help on an Insolvency practitioner ( please see feedback for Melanie Giles - she recently completed a STUNNING one payment iva for a friend of mine and they just can't stop talking about her !)

Secondly you can speak to a company that would act on your behalf.

lastly you can prepare the offer personally and have a go yourself. You can even do one at a time if you don't have all the funds available.

it is strange but the final percentage will depend upon how long you have had the debt, how long you have not paid and your ability to make a contribition via a DMP.

Good place to start would be melanie
