Hello Melanie
I am just wondering if you had an e-mail I could contact you through, you have replied to some of my posts before and I would like some advice,I am away on business for the rest of the week so it will be hard to talk on the phone but could do e-mail correspondance in the evening.
I have been issued with a CCJ to which I have 14 days to reply and have other payments I cannot meet fully, due this week and am starting to panic,so if you could get back in touch I will be very grateful.
Thanks,Neil
You can contact me via my website Neil, and I'd be delighted to try and help you with your current problem. This new styled website does make it more difficult to find us experts, and if you cannot find the right section let me know.
Morning Melanie,I just wanted a direct contact e-mail without filling the forms out yet,as I say my time this week is limited until Friday so I need some questions answering before then if possinle
If you visit the JonesGiles website (again, we cannot put the link) you should be able to get contact details from there.

You don't have to fill out the forms Skint Neil. Just go to melaniegiles.com and use the ask a question function. If you just leave me a contact number, I will call you.

Forgive me for being sceptical however I understood that IP's were not allowed to tout for business???

I understand that however in general I don't accept that Melanie doesn't earn a decent living off this site!
I have nearly 5,000 posts but money is not the issue nor is it in Melanie's case. Given that the majority of questions and answers relate to people already in IVAs there are few opportunities to get clients anyway.
If we get the odd client so well and so good but ultimately if can help those in financial trouble it reflects well on the whole industry and helps nail some of the myths put about concerning IPs and IVAs.
Hi Cynical
Whether Melanie earns a good living from this site is her business, however personally I feel that she does not tout for business and always advises posters to contct 2/3 IP's before making a decision, and also importantly she gives her time and expertise free of charge whether or not she represents you on this forum and that to me is priceless along with the support of other forum members. I also believe that Insolvency nowadays is a huge business and that IVA's are but a small part of it.
Don't misunderstand me, I fully support IVA's and this forum for those that are in need, however I do believe that the advice and support given on this site should be fully objective and should be impartial. It should not look to promote any individual or company for their own gain. This is my opinion based on posts on here and is not necessarily aimed at one individual.
I fully support the work that Melanie and the other work IP's on here do. I do not think it is touting for business at all. If someone chooses to give up their free time to help than so be it. I think you may be being too cynical, cynical!
There are numerous companies who post here and in doing so they raise their own profile. No one is stopped from posting unless they set out to shamelessly solicit work. Melanie posts the most here and does so at all hours of the night. Without her, there would be a lot more people in serious financial trouble and would not even have heard of IVAs. They would instead be stuck in some neverending DMP or worse.
